What does it mean to be mindful in our relationships?

How might understanding our beliefs, patterns, and values impact how we see ourselves and others?

Couples’ Mindfulness Workshop Saturday, February 29th, 6-10pm

Learn how building a meditative practice can help you and your partner:

  • Develop self-compassion and awareness which leads to relational closeness and compassion for others
  • A greater awareness of the present moment (the mind/body connection) and feeling how experience empowers us to make better choices and be able to respond to conflict meaningfully

This workshop will introduce you and your partner to mindfulness:

  • How to begin a Mindfulness Meditation practice
  • Mindful communication – what this looks like as a couple and how this leads to a deeper ability to listen and have mindful speech with one another
  • Tools to address conflict and difficulty
  • Meditative practice to enhance connection

“If our love is only a will to possess, it is not love.” -Thich Nhat Hanh

A workshop, not therapy

This gathering is NOT therapy. The learning process of mindfulness can be therapeutic in its very nature but this isn’t a traditional therapy group experience. Conflict and experiences shared should be done so in consideration that the same legality of confidentiality in a therapy setting are not applicable. This may be an opportunity to explore future avenues to enhance your relationship, but is not a psychotherapeutic intervention.

An introduction

This gathering is an opportunity for education and incorporating a new style of communication into everyday interactions. It is a beginning experience – not a comprehensive mindfulness course.
