Our first gathering of 2020 took place February 27th – 29th on Oahu’s North Shore and in Honolulu. We held a three-day women’s mindfulness gathering and a 4-hour couples’ workshop! See other past events in Hawai’i and Washington state.

We’ve designed our gatherings (physical and remote!) as opportunities for mindful connection. The term ‘mindfulness’ was first recorded by Buddhist scholar T. W. Rhys David as a translation for the Pali word sati. It also evokes words such as ‘awareness’ and ‘remembering to focus on the present moment’. Jon-Kabat Zinn popularized it through his mindfulness-based stress-reduction program and further defining it as “‘the awareness that arises through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally to the unfolding of experience moment by moment.”

Names help identify things and how we relate to them, but sometimes obscure the person, place or thing they represent. These gatherings are an opportunity for us to look beyond the name ‘mindfulness’ and create a relationship with the concept of open, expansive awareness that fully recruits the activity of our hearts and minds.

By opening ourselves to the present, and then with curiosity, looking at the truths our feelings point to – we nurture our inner voice. We see our gifts, and how those gifts lead us to purpose, connection, and the ability to harmonize with others.

We invite you to join us to create community and a learning environment to introduce tools and frameworks for personal development and growth. We invite you to enter this space with acceptance and compassion, both for yourself and those around you. We invite you do so with an intention to tap into your true self – and then ripple that truth to the world around us all.

Be the ripple.

The most important thing any of us have are our connections to each other.
